Google is about to update their algorithm and this time it will have a big impact on SERP that seems to be bigger than penguin and panda.

If you do not have a mobile friendly website, on April 21 you may find it difficult to rank in Google mobile search result.


What’s the new algorithm update about?

Google announced algorithm updates for “mobile searches”. The update improves ranking for those websites that provide a user-friendly experience to search anything on mobile device.


So if you are not yet prepared for the changes. Then dive into more details on what this update will require and some tools to help you identify your site’s mobile-responsiveness.

What Is the Mobile Algorithm Update?

The sites that wasn’t optimized for mobile needs to be zoomed and then swipe side-by-side to be able to read by the reader. And when you click on something, your fingers could barely select the tiny links.

Google realized how frustrating the whole experience is and decided to change its algorithm. After that update, when someone will search anything on a mobile device, Google will serve up those sites that are easy to read, navigate, and have images of appropriate size as per the device.

After April 21st Google will actually rewarding and penalizing website for their mobile responsiveness. Therefore make your website responsive and save it from being penalized.

1. Google's Mobile-Friendly Test:
















Enter your website’s URL into Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test and it will let you know if you have a mobile-friendly page or not. If the website passes Google test, you will see a green banner. Otherwise it will show some reasons why it’s not mobile-friendly.

2. W3C mobileOK Checker:












The World Wide-Web Consortium has their own mobile-friendly test known as mobileOK Checker that provides more technical components of your website.

3. HubSpot’s Marketing Grader:














To start your analysis with Marketing Grader, simply enter your website name and email. It will test your site and give you score out of 100. It will also show you a preview of your page on mobile and some suggestion on how to improve that page.
